this is ridiculous dont you guys try to fight this bullshit?

This one will be. Vehemently. Guaranteed.

I mean the one where you walk around finding ways to kill people fair enough

Left for Dead 2 where the first one wasnt even blinked at and only got an M instead of MA (ma in mandatory 18 ) annoying

Mortal Kombat ("hey I have heard of that, what they aren't bringing that to Australia, why") that will get to be a common sentence.

Can't you guys import or something?

This kind of system should be initiated here in the U.S and the United Mexican States or at least require people to show ID when purchasing M rated games.

How about steam? Isn't that uniform across the globe? Or is L4D2 a dumbed down version on steam as well?

dumbed down. It was a protest against the classification system apparently. According to the reports I heard in Aus they dumbed it down more than they had to.

As I understand it, it's 'banned' because they cannot classify it under their current rating system. so it can't be sold, imported etc.

A system requiring ID before would be good though, even though it's a lame protection because i could just go and buy a copy for my lil bro no problem.

If games in AU were allowed to be rated to 18 this wouldn't be a problem, but theres some in gvt. there who think games are for kids, nevermind the fact that the main buyers are in the 25-35 year old bracket

Incorrect, they think that kids can get the games. I am in a retail store and that is the official word, which is bollocks. It is not the retailers fault that these games get given to the youngster, the games have clear markings and every store who sells items with ratings is legally bound to have the classifications explanations on show in their store.

The foundings are outdated and need to be modernised.
