Well I agree about the money part Indian board of cricket are the leaders when it comes to funds and the ICC values that for sure. But I disagree about the tone you mchaza are taking on the matter. Even the ex prime minister situation, only 4 out of 10 cricket nations supported it, even then did SA support it? I know they had some issues with him as well. Either way I don't think this is a conspiracy or anything like that. Like i said, such incidents happen with all cricket nations, like the example I mentioned above, Shane Warne should have been kicked out of the sport and his records removed.

and again imho cricket without hair is better off, I'll leave it at that.

anywho about the match going on now :( Tharanga got out in the most unlucky fashion one can imagine, I feel for him. dilashan tho lol he needs to cool down more if he wanna be a good opener

I dont honestly mean a tone. I am pretty sure SA did support it, its certainly not a conspiracy but I didnt want to bring it up because of the tensions that would arise. And wallah here we are.

Warne should have been, you will see earlier I didnt argue with that, it was drug taking plain and simple.

like i said 6 nations vs 4. It's democracy unless one has proof something fishy went down. that's all there is to it.

If the South Asian countries had their way completely, Warne would have penalized way way more. Let's face it, Austraila and South Asian countries aren't the best of friends in Cricket. Hence my point, the only thing i can see the South Asian pull can do is gain more and more support for things like IPL.

Have you heard the latest in the Australia domestic series that T20 sides are not going to be called Victoria Bushrangers etc etc but they are going to be called Melbourne x or Sydney x which is dumb. I want to follow the Bushies in all terms of cricket...

T20 needs to be taken down one or two pegs, its getting bigger than the game, its craziness haha

let's just agree to disagree on the secondary sides.

again I think you are reaching here. What do you mean by not being relegated? about the match fixing issue? all players who were found guilty were banned...for like 10 years! in other words banned for good in this line of sport. and it's not like only South Asian countries have such scandals right? For example the Warne scandal? He only got banned for 'one' year. and pleaaaaaase don't tell me the excuse he gave saying his mum gave him a pill to handle his weight . Guess who was in charge of the ICC at the time of this happened.

so just saying, the HQ is in a place far away from the main cricket boards and the leadership rotates. Only India in the southern asia has some major pull in Cricket incidents cuz basically they have them money to back them up. But overall, no South Asian bias in their actions, at least not more so than when they handle issues of other countries.

No say, Australia's ex prime minister go rejected from heading up the ICC because of Southern Asian nations rejecting with England, NZ, SA all agreeing. Btw Cricket is big business in India they have the big pull. Just remember who bought the southern asian nations there beloved sport, England. They should keep there say but all get an say on the ICC. That is the Big players get an say.

anyways nice to see an Sri Lankan gamer. How Sri Lankan leader. Mr Dilmah.

i kid i kid

sure, South asian nations make up some of the biggest cricket boards in the world so obviously. Not sure what that proves really, just because they didn't find a candidate to be suitable for a job, not like Aussys have any lack of representation in the ICC or anything. So three countries agreed and the 3/4 countries disagreed, and you think this is unfair because somehow the english and aussy should have a bigger say on the matter? Pleaseeeeee

I don't care who brought what to whome. What next, who brought number system the western nations, who brought europeons to aussy, ....they should also have a 'bigger' say cuz of it? what rubbish. I really don't want to get into the colonialism and history and all that in this thread about Cricket but no south asian is grateful to the Brits for what they did to the region.

and the Dilmah joke is about the the tea manufacturer who sponsor/ed? the lankan team? I do not understand the 'joke' there....are the sponsors of other countries their leaders too? How is travalex doing?

Well the Commonwealth Bank does own the country with all 120 billion it has in loans, but yes its an terrible joke.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

why do you think it would be a stupid move? asking cuz I honestly don't have much knowledge about the situation.

about T20, I still prefer ODI to T20 but the demand is rising for T20...and if the game to grow its fanbase, T20 is essential at this point

Not stupid move, dumb meaning I dont like it as the vics are going but it is actually really good for it. There are a few things I dont agree with in Australian sport, this one is one of them. The teams will be "franchises" much like the IPL sides, there also will be expansion which presumably will be meaning teams outside of Australia will be joining in.

The smartest thing would be too be bringing NZ teams into it. It would be much better for OCEANIA cricket if our two countries combine for the good of cricket in terms of the sporting arenas.

I do like tests the best but I like t20 over ODI purely for the fact that as Kerry Packer just more or less invented ODI it is a fabrication to continue the game. t20 will be much much much more successful in the long run, as it is the same time pretty much as a  footy much/ soccer much/ rugby match etc.

England are through. Easy win for South Africa.

Austrailia are struggling at the moment against Pakistan.

yet not too long later Aus seems to have struck back. Ponting needs to go, absolutely useless and it shows we still have the cattle. Ponting either needs not to be captain or out of the side altogether.
