You should definately check out the BluRay version. It's actually surprisingly good quality for a nearly 30 year old movie and there are scenes in there I don't remember from the DVD version.

Same here. I saw it a few weeks ago after ~ 25 years.
Con: It didn't stand the test of time like - say - The Jungle Book or Pinocchio, which are decades older.
Pro: Despite all its flaws it's still a very charming movie and way more enjoyable than Bakshi's Lord of the Rings.
Unchanged: America's songs sucked in the 80s, they still suck today.
