that can be said for many of the high scoring franchises released the past years. Do they really deserve the score they get? or do they get scored based on their name
Define bad review.
NSMBWii had reviews ranging from 58/100 all the way up to 100/100, for example. Kirby's Epic Yarn has a similar range of scoring.

For zelda, I agree, Twilight Princess it is overrated. Also Super Mario Galaxy is for sure one of the best games of this gen but it doesn't deserve so much high scores imo.
About DKCR, yes it hasn't done anything new but it's just better than any other 2D platformer in the last 15 years imo, and it's got not even 9 as average score, so not an incredibly high score.

So maybe i will be off topic. Whatever, imo:
Ninty invented the platformer genre as it is defined until now, so if anything, every platformer from Ninty should get 10/10, because the new platformer of Ninty is the new defintion of a platformer. (look above, imo, like everything following)
And the meta score is far from 10/10 for DK, Kirby, NSMB etc.
Sorry, but the thread should be:"Why is it possible for a ninty platformer to be reviewed bad at all"

and the following thread should be: "Why is it possible for a 3D action adventure from ninty, yet with zelda in the tilte, to get anything less than 10/10"

Zelda and Mario for a short while were the franchises to be the "first" in a lot of things for the mainstream home consoles. So they really set standards for prototypical adventure and platformer genres for both 2d AND 3d. So yes they have earned their iconic status.
But I'm not sure where your criticism comes from overall. Fans hated windwaker for being too different (I loved it, but it has low replay value with the easiest gameplay I've ever encountered). And fans hated Twilight for being too similar. And around that time is when shooters and music games were all the rage anyways. No one cared about zelda these past two generations. It hasn't been critically acclaimed in recent years.
Mario Sunshine was universally hated as well by both non-mario gamers being able to use it as an example fo why nintendo is just for kids, and by mario-gamers who hated the water backpack. Galaxy was TRULY inventive for the Mario series if if Galaxy 2 wasn't anywhere near as good as Galaxy 1.
On Zelda you are wrong because it is not reverred anymore. Mario you may be right on... but nsmbw did not get amazing scores despite it being an amazing seller
