Its a bluff. They've shown them still firing on the rebels after the supposed cease fire. |
Huh, i figured he'd be honest on that point. The regime proved to be flexible on their WMD programs if it meant economic access to the outside world, and you'd figure that shows they're more grounded in reality

It doesn't matter. The rebels don't trust Kadafi and not gonna cease fire. Neither EU countries do, it's already in news. So it seems everyone agreed to deliver death to Kadafi after his bloody crimes, the world can't let the men to keep control overy very much needed resources so no treaty with corrupted country. And very rigthly so.

Or if it was fired from a helicopter, just imagine kinetic energy -.-
I mean cmon the civils are killed and wounded in Bahrain too, does it really matter if it was rubber or live bullets, helicopter or a police car? UN should occupy Bahrain and Saudi, it's not only Libya which deserves justice and human rights. The whole region is extremely important to the world because of the oil, so we can't allow feodal societies there!

It's all politics at the end of the day. All of the gulf monarchies are friendly, while Libya never was
If anything, the West wants to keep the Shiites in Bahrain down, as it is logical to fear that if the Shiites were to get more power in the country they might lean the whole island towards Iran

why do you keep going on about bahrain, where security forces are at least trying to keep peace without the use of lethal munitions, and nothing about yemen where the security forces are opening fire with live ammo on crowds of protesters and murdering them.

Both Bahrain and Yemen are being oppresive and I really hope that the protesters win out in the end, but neither have anything on Lybia. Gadaffi is probably the most insane tyrant in the world, and that includes Kim Jong Il.

Only because Gadaffi is losing power. I mean, for a scray thought...
think how much more resonable he was then KJ Ill before this whole thing started?
I think his reaction here has pretty much shown why nobody wanted N. Korea to get Nukes, got knows what KJ Ill would do if they protestors came for his head.

He really wasn't any more sane, he's been one of the nuttiest tyrants in the world for decades. Remember things like the Lockerbie bombing.

Honestly no. I was 6 at the time.
All I can remember was people being really happy that the guy who did the bombing was let go... outside people in the US... a lot of peopel claiming he was innocent...
and then recently one of the Libyians who defected specifically stating that he was directly ordered to do it by Momar Quddaffi. (So probably not the innocent man framed by the CIA that people were making it out to be.)
Well, that and he's still alive... with the "3 months to live terminal cancer."
I wouldn't say that was "crazier" then Kim Jong Il though. I mean, i'd guess pretty much most those dictators would attempt that kinda thing if they thought they could get away with it.
