Google complained last year that the Chinese Government attacked them, freedoms in China have been censored by the Government. But would China have the balls to attack a first world Government itself? I never thought the day would come when the Chinese Government would attack my country.

Well today it got reported that the Chinese Government itself attacked the Canadian Government. Hackers based in the Chinese Embassy in Canada tried to breach several Government departments. Apparently they tried to steal several documents. The Canadian Government says they shut down two Government buildings after hackers breached their security, the Government cut their internet to prevent China from gaining access to vital documents and secrets. Other sites managed to thwart the cyber attack.

In the end the Government traced the attacks directly to Bejing through the Chinese Embassy. The Government said no information was actually stolen and that the attack was thwarted. Apparently Canada only spends 90-million dollars each year on internet security compared to Britain's Billion and the US's 55-billion.

In the end the Canadian Government is warning other governments to be on high alert, China may target you next? Who would have thought that China would go from attacking and stealing information from Google to an all out assualt on Canada? Could your country be next?

Also do you think Canada, Google and other states and companies should launch retalitory attacks against China? The news was saying a retalitory action could be in consideration? If Canada retaliated against China what do you think may occur as a result?

War? Are the Chinese coming?

It'll be Cyber War One.

I wonder how the Chinese Government would react if Nato launched an all out cyber assualt on the great firewall of China. Imagine suddenly chinese people had access to all of the internet and the Government was powerless to censor it for alittle while?

I wonder if we could do that, hack into the Chinese Government's firewall and censorship facilities and take them out. I wonder how the Chinese would react when they suddenly hear everything their Government has been hiding? It would sure as heck teach their Government a lesson for attacking Nato countries.

China and the USA have been at it for years now...

It's not really surprising.

China has been doing this to tons of places... mostly because they know nobody can really stop them.  

Nobody is going to start a war over it, or even place sanctions on them, meanwhile they get all kinds of interesting information and technology.

I'm not sure i'd say Cyber War One.  I mean afterall, Iran is already had it's Nuclear Plants struck by a powerful computer virus, that pretty much HAD to of been made by a foreign government because it had to be applied outside of the internet.   Real modern spy stuff there.

People are trying to break into the US government like non-stop.

I think I am safe for assimulation. I could speak at least 1 of their dialect.
