Forums - Gaming - One PS3 feature I REALLY wish was on the 360

Just some more info on the music information here.  With the 360's USB ports you can instantly stream from any music source.  Also, if your 360 is connected to your home network you can stream from any active PC if you have set your PC's permissions to do so (like 3 clicks of the mouse).

Personally, I am on my PC all the time, so I use the Zune music software.  Whenever I hop onto the 360 I can either go to Music Library on the dashboard, or hit the navigation button and go over to the "now playing" section and highlight any music that I have on my PC and stream it instantly; this goes for playlists too!  I find this feature very nice when folks come over and they do not want to hear Halo in the background.  Also, this prevents me from having to store the MP3s on my 360 itself so I save HDD space :)

I went to Amazon.com --not really feeling this device after reading the customer reviews.  I guess I'll burn some CD's of WWE intro music (after I download them from a music sharing site) and buy some blank CD's.

PS3 is an piraters dream. I know someone who rips tonnes of movies. And most dvd players or his xbox cant run it but he was over one day and the PS3 picked up on all the files so he rushed to get an ps3.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

"Heavenly Sword theme on my 360 from the PSN"

Wait, what?

Yep.  Maybe not a theme, but the wallpaper.  I downloaded it from the PSN and set it to my PS3.  After a while, I got bored with it and copied it to my PSP.  When I was bored, I hooked my PSP to my 360 via USB.  The theme popped up when I  was looking at pictures.  I  chose "set this picture as theme" from the 360 menu.  From that point on, Nariko has been my Xbox 360 wallpaper!

Thats really cool actually, got to give it a shot for some games.

But shouldn't you be practising things like... jump in, down medium kick, half circle, half circle, fierce punch... instead of fiddling around with soundtracks? :P

Your time will come soon enough, disolitude.....soon enough..........

And in response to an earlier post--yeah, only 16gb's.  Still more than enough to store my entire XBLA game library.

@BHR-3, I learned that lesson the hard way.  I had over $100 worth of TV shows and movies I downloaded from the PSN to watch on our PSP's (me and my daughter's).  I deleted them from my PS3 HDD when it started getting too full.  I went back to download them and I realized that they wanted me to pay full price for them, again.  This blew my mind.  I called Sony customer service, showed him where the purchases were in my history, and everything.  I eventually found out that if you buy them, they don't expire but if you delete them, they're gone.  I tested this by tossing another $10 down the drain on Jackass 2 and got charged the full $10 even though I already bought this movie.  So, yeah.  Buyer beware.

coincidently if you throw a dvd away the store won't give you another one even if you have the receipt... I learned that the hard way... not really but yeah you get the picture

Yea it's simple to just take a little of time and rip a cd. A little effort.

Maybe I'm reading too much into your comment but, this is digital download.  I can download a game or comic book an infinite number of times, even on the PSN.  I can download games and purchased videos an infinite number of time on Xbox Live.  I can download purchased games an infinite number of times from Nintendo's online selection.  I can re-download content to any number of devices after I purchase from Amazon.mp3 or from the Kindle store.  It isn't common knowledge that you can't do this with movies/tv shows from the PSN.

It's not a big deal, though.  Since that time, I learned how to pirate movies from the internet.  Had that PSN incident not happened, I'd still be paying for them.

I'm just saying them allowing you to download things multiple times is them being nice
