I'm sure Bungie wouldn't have signed a 10 year contract with Activision without Activision guaranteeing Bungie creative freedom.  They could have gone with any 3rd party but chose Activision because what they offered them.

Time will tell...I'm sure Infinity Ward though they had signed on for a good deal as well...

Any time a company references WoW in anyway it means they plan on trying to take it on as the #1 MMO. This is why any MMO not comparing themselves to WoW in anyway are mildly successful.

Keep in mind this is a disgruntled employee who was let go. He's obviously trying to get back at Activision and Bungie by leaking information. Of course he supposedly worked on the game and is trying to paint a picture of what the game will be like and I guess the best known game similiar to what Bungie's working on is WoW.

I wouldn't mind seeing an FPS MMO, though notice he doesn't say its an FPS he says a "Wow in space". It'll be interesting to see how this project works out. I was hoping for an FPS on the consoles, but I am interested in seeing this project Bungie is working on.

really, why is that? I would think the likely hood of these two games being different genres, and the fact that both developers are working for the same company mean they are not trying to kill it. I mean really it wasn't even bungie who said this. Seemed to me like you derailed the thread with something thath wasn't even mentioned in the op or the article. I would expect more from a staff member. Do you not like bungie?
