All of you fail to see the point Avinash is trying to make by calling Bioshock overrated. You have to read between the lines guys. What he really meant was..."Bioshock is not on the Wii, therefore I have no interest in it."

Every time you quote Game Informer you make a puppy cry.
That aside, Bioshock deserves it, but Nintendo was publisher of the year, decade, and century.
Final* Word on Game Delays:
The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.
Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.
Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

@ Avinash: Yeah, like Mario's never jumped on enemy's heads before.
Just like I said, it's how it's implemented. Would you say Mario Galaxy is exactly the same as 64 or Sunshine? Didn't think so.
Don't get me wrong, Bioshock deserves GOTY, but I'm sad it took away the Mario Galaxy regonition. :(
Interesting -- last year, Nintendo was GI's Publisher and Developer of the Year.
What gets me is that their top two developers seems to have done one game -- allbeit a very good game -- each. To me, that is GAME of the Year consideration, not Developer of the Year.
Infinity Ward (tops) does Call of Duty series. 2K Boston (2nd) does Bioshock.
Among publishers, it ranked Microsoft and EA ahead of Nintendo. This even though it praised the Big N for two Mario games this year.
I have lost my faith in GI. I will still get the magazine, only because it pays for itself.

The only thing that frustrates me is that System Shock 2.5 is getting GoTY over the second highest rated game ever. I'm not saying it's not a great game, but it seems like just that and nothing more. I can't help but feel like Galaxy is going to get shafted because it's on a "casual" system without teh grafix.
