Hmm, the PSP doesn't have a single bestselling game that is unique to the system. That's a problem.

that's my point.   too many "its on home console" games

as said lets see who is right between me and psrock

Sony did not change its games from PSP, but did change its controls.  So lets see if this dual analog is what the psp truly was missing or if as i believe its missing the key component to handheld systems.  Handheld focused games.  A home console game just on a portable is not a different experience.  well actually it kind of is, and its never better.  there is a reason those games are on consoles and not on handhelds.

i didn't buy a handheld cause i'm so addicted to GTA that i need my fix when not at home.  I buy a handheld so i can play professor layton, or elite beat agents or pokemon.   I myself have made the mistake as well of buying games or remakes/ports that i LOVED on the console for my handheld and guess what?  they sit on my shelf and never get played.  same as on home console, there have been games i loved on my handheld that bought similar games on console and not liked at all.

uncharted was a great game on the ps3, but i for the life of me can't imagine wanting to play that on a handheld at all.

I buy the PSP because of these games:

Jeanne D'Arc, Patapon, Crisis Core, MH, Final Fantasy Dissidia, Daxter, GTA CHINATOWN (amazing game), Syphon Filter, MDG5 and there are way more. Those are games made for the PSP, great games but they still were missing that great control they will find on the NGP.

You keep saying people  don't want a console game on a handheld yet, SMB is at 20 million plus on both the DS and the Wii. Mario Kart sells great on both handheld and console. You will find tons of Wii games on the DS.

What the PSP is missing is casual games which Sony was not going for, it has nothing to do with handheld or console. Nothing.

i said some games do sell on both the same.  But more than not don't.  gta chinatown was changed, it was made with handheld in mind.  i'm talking about the many many ohter and earlier psp games, that were basically direct ports of ps2 games.  as of right now it seems sony is doing the same thing.

if they do something unique and make say uncharted a handheld experience then thats different.  but if its just uncharted on wheels, then they screwed up again.  And no i'm not talking about clicking on walls to climb or other gimicky things they showed in thier demos.

What's an handheld experience?

Nintendogs is an amazing game for the audience it's catering to. That's why the DS is a success, because it had games that would sell systems, such as Nintendogs or Brain Training. These games sell in the tens of millions. AND they sell systems in the tens of millions.

And those types of games sell just as well on the Wii, the console.

The Wii and DS have their own best sellers. The Wii has its own unique games that are best sellers. Both the Wii and DS have established their own franchises while also offering Nintendo favorites.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

-_- can't believe people use one platforms success in something to measure the others equavalent yet different feature as a failure.

I don't care how much units nintendogs sell....I will buy Crisis Core over that any day. If you don't think so, then maybe it's not for you

and there ARE many simple handheld games for psp as well. You don't see them selling gazillions either, but the quality tops most crap that sells better

just a quick thinking process for you

Imagine you are asked to play a game.  Lets take Pinball, and Uncharted.  Both state of the art, best graphics, controls, AI, physics, sound, ect you name it.

Which system would you want to play either on?  the NGP or the PS3?   identical games, no difference in the NGP or PS3 versions.

I would choose to play uncharted on the PS3 and Pinball on the NGP.

Imagine that for any other game you can think of.  If you can't decide, then its one that is a perfect game for both, such as new super mario bros.  if your leaning towards one way over the other then thats teh type of game it is meant to be.  And thus why the reason I believe PSP failed software wise.  Too many games where you would think "i want that on my ps3"

What types of games? You mean like Pokemon or Animal Crossing or Brain Training? Because none of these games had big success on the Wii because they were never designed for the Wii.

The DS has its own games which sell best on the DS because they were designed for the DS and portable gaming.

so you've played nintendogs?  you played all these "CRAP" games that you mention?  and these gazillion simple psp games are all better?

oh wait that right, your a gamer.  gamers are selfish, imature kids who think that anything not catered to them should be burned.  how dare we make games that a 10 year old girl might enjoy.  toss the cute puppy, she needs to just grow the fuck up and learn to handle an ak-47 and pwn someones ass.

That's not really what the discussion is about. What we personally like or dislike is a different discussion.

Again the reason we wanted to play PSP games on the PS3 is because it plays better on the PS3, that won't be the issue anymore. Why is that so hard to understand, the PSP has sucky control compared to the PS3.

quick answer my question

If you were given the choice would you rather play Uncharted 3 on your ps3, or on your NGP?
