Ok, reading this thread just made me depressed...on another note, does anybody wanna be my valentine...I have pictures of candy and roses for you, lol.

OK, I'll PM you my adress so you can send me my flowers and candy. I expect a plane ticket so you can take me on a romantic date in Rome. Oh, and I won't put out, but if you play your cards right, I may give you a kiss.

I always have wanted to go to Rome...I'll let you know when I'm making a shit ton of money in 10 years so I can afford it, lol.

Edit: But since no vgcharters thought it necessary to help me out on my Calc 3 studying...I'll probably fail my test and become a bum for the rest of my life.

Darn, my luck. All the rich men are taken.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

And... according to my friends, nearly all of whom have done the above mentioned in my topic title, I'm not missing anything.

Apparently, I'm the lucky one because, according to one, I'm a 'clean slate'. I don't have any bad break-ups like they do and I'm not super depressed about that 'one person' who could make me happy all the time. It's not 'too late' for me to move on and such.

A lot of my friends have fallen in love and... well... are still depressed over break-ups that have been years in the past. It's rather sad to see... It makes me think relationships are all bad, lol. My parents aren't divorced but they have so many fights all the time and my grandpa cheats on my grandma... so yeah...

Um, what do you guys think? I mean, I thought I missed out when younger or was a failure like some people on other boards mentioned but... looking at what happens when relationships degrade so much...

You've got the right idea man.. You definelty don't need to worry about that stuff now. At least it only took you till 21 to figure it out. Because before you know it you're 24, still in the same situation, and just wishing you could go back and not ruin those earlier years of your life by stressing out about it.

Plus, they say you meet someone when you least expect it..

For a time I was really depressed about not having a girlfriend, but the more I go, the more I begin to think we are better off. Seeing friends and family in relationships, you see break ups, and these people get all depressed.. Not my thing. If you're happy being single, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's less stressful, you get to have more personal time, not to mention far cheaper :). I feel lonely sometimes, but then again who doesn't? Lonely is just a state of mind anyway. You can be in a relationship and still feel lonely.

I did get kinda close to this girl in highschool, but I was more shy back then, too chicken to ask her out. Plus, the age difference I felt was a bit taboo. I was nearly 4 years older than her. It wouldn't be as weird now, but unfortunately we kinda went our separate ways.

Yes, when you were 18 she was just a tween. Huge difference. Good thing you never asked her out, or you'll probablq be getting out of jail now, and placed on the sex offenders' list.

Ha it wasn't too drastic an age difference but it I felt it was borderline.. Although maybe I'm just using that as an excuse.

It's funny a friend of mine at the time actually was dating a 15 year old when he was 19. I totally could have given Chris Hansen a call, luckilly for him he never got on my bad side.

That's just plain gross

Dude, it is a huge age difference when you're 18 and the girl is 14. If you had sex with her you'd go to jail if anyone found out. Date people your own age, unless you get yourself a rich sugar mama of course

Well its was really 19 and 15 and more like a 3 1/2 age difference.. but yeah..

moot point anyways, since we didn't date. Plus now we're 24 and 21, which is far less taboo.

ha that's pretty funny though, I totally could have gotten my friend in trouble back in highschool, assuming they actually messed around..

While sex is fantastic, its also a big risk. So having a significant other brings a lot of baggage, risk, and of course many great feelings and best of all sex.

So, its a toss up.

On one hand, you're by far more free to do whatever you want without any hinderence and potentially no backlash from a bad relationship.

However, you also miss out on the eventual sexual experience and warm fuzzies of being with the person you are affectionate with.

Eitherway, you're time will come. You'll be somewhere and BAM that one girl/guy will pop out at you and you will want to be with them almost 100% of the time initially. Then years later things will level out and you'll know whether you've missed some grand teenage exeperiance or whether it was perfect to sit it out and have it happen later in life.

You can date her now. No biggie. You have my blessing.
