i knew nothing about duke nukem until last year and found out that it was an game in the making by 3D realms for about 13 years and with gearbox taking the stuff over and releasing it. What i dont get is why Gear box is taking all the credit. 

They didn't make the entire game in the small period since taking it on. This is still an 3D realms game that never got finished but from the looks of it seems alot of it was done so shouldn't it be an 3D realms game in conjunction with Gearbox published by Take two not an gearbox game. 

Am i right on this but it seems that gearbox is trying to take the credit for duke nukem. 

I don't have a problem with them taking credit, unlike some certain WoW playing slackers, they got the job done. It's the difference between coming up with an idea and making it.

there is no way they would of been able to make entire game in less than an year, so they would of used alot of 3D realms work. 

They edited a whole bunch of it, it was about halfway done when they got it.
