Forums - General - After experiencing Blu Ray do you think you can ever go back to DVD?

I've got a couple of blu-rays(Transformers 2 & wanted) and can borrow about 20 more from my brother but if my blu-ray drive in my pc packed up I'd only replace it with a dvd drive. The difference isn't worth the extra cost to me.

Other than the special edition of Avatar (got for Christmas), every other Blu Ray I own was under $10. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, the new Star Trek, Taken, Enter the Dragon, and Michael Clayton. It's all about the specials on Amazon =) Even the 3-disc set for Avatar was something like $22.

If a blu-ray was £12 and the dvd was £10 I would still buy the dvd. £2 will buy me 2 bags of starmix!

And maybe torrent the hd version if I really wanted to see it.

Not experienced blu ray yet, but I'm still happy with VHS if the movie is good enough ... so I doubt BR would put me off DVD

I hear you, I myself wouldn't mind paying a slight bit extra for a huge boost in visuals. Heck, I've seen the Blu Ray version of movies go anywhere from $1-$5 cheaper than the DVD version on Amazon.

Blur Ray does look great, but there's really not much point to it for comedies, which is most of what I watch anyway.

I still don't give a damn about Blu-Ray.

But high definition digital downloads kick ass. Physical media, meh. I don't need more piles of useless shit laying around the house.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

I don't think i've ever seen Blu-Ray. Nobody i know has a player (outside PS3-owning friends, but i've never seen them play a movie on it)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I've seen Blu-Ray and it is nice but I would still buy DVD over it because it is cheaper.
