Why not just improve the features of xbox live?

They haven't done that much recently IIRC

Or why not use those funds to expand 1st and 2nd party offerings?  Expand the Xbox 360 gaming library a little more with unique games.

While I enjoy all the "non gaming" features on my consoles, I originally bought them for gaming.

Of course I'm speaking specificly for my tastes, but I'd like to see more platformers and turn-based RPG's.  Heck, commision Mistwalker to make a Lost Odyssey sequel.

I thought HULU was coming to xbox anyway.... if it's true... that makes XB one of the best entertainment platform for the cheapest.... with XBL, an internet connection, netflix subscription and  hulu subscription  for less than 50 bucks a month I have access to every movie I want and any TV show I want which makes it way cheaper than having full cable or dish....

you do know that netflicks costs on top of your xbl subscription and so probably would any of these tv deals, so yeah... not so cheap and no real reason to use 360

yeah which I pay 40 a year plus 10 bucks a month for netflix plus a cable internet connection I pay anyway... I calculated it in any sense you can imagine possible..... XBL netflix internet in my area (plus espn and maybe hulu soon now) is the best entertainement package I can get for the price I save more than 40 bucks a months and 100 of dollars a year.... which can be reinvested in games or movie rental on wune in the case I don't find for once what I want on netflix online....

hulu is 7.99 a month even that on top of XBL yearly sub plus netflix online is still way below what I must rack every month if I want the equivalent in dish or cable tv... (and it's commercial free and better quality in the case of cable here) I ain't trying to deffend MS here.... but try to pay the least for the most quantity and XB with all the options ends up still being cheaper by miles

There can never be enough turn-based RPG's.

ive tried using espn on xbox live and it just seems it is not up to par with cable. I dont even know if espn on xbox live is hd. i really wish microsoft would focus on the gaming side of xbox live and not these fb, twit, espn apps that are not as great as the original.

you do know that ESPN on XB is ESPN 3 mostly not ESPN 1 and 2.... so i can understand if you are looking to have the same as ESPN on cable you are not satisfied.... but what I look from ESPN is mostly broadcasted on ESPN 3 ( yeap premier league soccer) so yeah ESPN contract with XB is a blessing for me I can finally enjoy my soccer games without having to plug my laptop like he is under life support....  with minimal commercial I can watch them late if I missed a game I wan rewind fastforward and all that in full HD in the soccer case which I didn't have before with cable ESPN and I had to pay for it on top of it.... my region sucks for media offering (only 1 cable company and cable ISP here)

I agree fb and twitt apps are not that great though... but I'll always support more apps than less even if I'm not interested by them.... if it's the same price of course... or if it's really great why not pay a fee as long as the offering provide something more that I can't get otherwise for the dame price
