Well, MvC3 is gonna be completely different than MvC2 because there are soooo many good characters in this one. I plan on using Dante, Zero, Phoenix, Akuma, C.Viper, Jill, Shuma-Gorath, Storm, Iron man, Spiderman, Wesker, Chun, X-23 and of course my main man DeadPool. Everybody looks really good in this game.

I don't really know what a lvl 3 Hyper is or and you go about building up your hyper bar, but the Deadpool level 3 hyper is just beyond awesome.
I'm really worried with the Phoenix because I guess hers is a level 5 and I guess that's the only one we know of so far that is a level 5? I love the Dark Phoenix but looks like I may not be able to do that often (though it looks like it makes you insane powerful and refills your life bar when you use it).
@twestern I hear you, man but I would say to give Super SF4 a chance its alot more balance and Ken isnt anywhere near as broken as he was in regular 4. and I concur about people crying about shotos, play SSF4 there even gonna add 2 more
OT it'll be Ryu, Spidey, wolverine. ill branch out from their, and all those people complaining about not having there fav character??? Good, Mvs.C2 was the most unbalanced fighting game ive ever played, glad to see Capcom is trying to go back to what made fighting games good and not just throwing whatever popular character they can find

A lvl 3 hyper is like a regular hyper combo just that it requires 3 super meters and takes off more damage than a hyper combo. Unlike Phoenix's lvl 5 hyper (Dark Phoenix) you can do a lvl 3 hyper as many times as you want. To build meter, you actually have to hit or get hit unlike MvC2 where you could just do a move and get meter without hitting somebody.
Yes, Phoenix is the only character that has a lvl 5 super but you are mistaken. When Phoenix turns into Dark Phoenix, she actually loses health just being in that state but she does get more powerful (she takes off more health, throws two fireballs instead of one etc..). You probably got it mixed up with X-Factor which makes you stronger, faster and recovers your red health (and everybody can do, only once per match). Phoenix looks to be a good character but her only problem is that she bruises like an old banana.
(Phoenix with full health dying to Hulk's Gamma Crush)

I did get SSF4 and still hated it for the same reasons. Actually, I didn't hate the game, I really liked it for the most part actually, I just hated playing people online because there was no variety. You fight the same characters over and over again because if you're not playing as the best fighter, you're going to lose.
I played for fun (El Fuerte) and was screwed because of it. It would have been nice if they did something closer to Starcraft II where you have leagues. In SF4 even though I would play someone with a similar rating they would still destroy me because I was playing El Fuerte and they were playing Ken/Ryu/Akuma/Sagat. It didn't matter I was actually good with El Fuerte, their character was simply better and I was screwed.

That's weird, I was watching gameplay videos this morning and every time she turned into the Dark Phoenix it looked like her health went to full, though I didn't watch her health after that so didn't notice it going down.
Doesn't matter, still going to love playing her. ^^
And just for fun, my awesome Dark Phoenix Hero clix because I like my random office toys (clicky for larger):

Okay, let's just take Ryu out too then since you don't care about Shotos. Not including Ken who's been a SF main since the beginning is silly and you know it. MvC games don't play anything like SF anyways so telling people to just go play SSF4 is bull****. Hopefully they'll have a Ken costume for Ryu but it's still not the same because I like my cocky American martial artists.
@twestern what version do you have because on PS3 its about 50/50 for everyone guy I see using a Ryu and Ken there is someone not using a Shoto. Ive been playing none stop for the past month or so. I used to be that guy that just used shotos but i felt after all these years i got about as good as i can get. So i moved on to Juri, Dudley, Fei long, I actually win against whoever. You might just need some more practice.
@xeroxm3 i never said Ryu, he is a mainstay. but lets keep it real, Shotos for the most part are just clones of Ryu, its great that over the years Capcom has been able to make them different enough so they can have there own identity but at the end of the day they are just clones. If thats what you want there is always Mvs.C2. IMHO if you can only use the SHotos your really not that good in SF to begin with
