@ OP: I don't know. I think the fact that he is mormon will scare off some voters (...not saying it should...). Another big factor is that he isn't very well known, and he needs to make that change now! I don't think that working for Obama as an ambassador should hurt him too much. Being too middle of the road could kill his chances of the GOP nomination (but it'd probably help in a general election). After all, to win the repubican nomination he is going to have to look different from Obama on some key issues...and what I really need to know is where he stands on big issues before I can guess how he's going to fare.
@ ssj12: lol, that was hilarious!

When they die they think they will become god-like and be given a planet where they can raise millions of children with thousands of wives just like God did with Earth. As a reward, non-mormon women will become their wives after death. If I thought I'd be banging your wife in a few years, I'd probably be nice to you too. And if they do bring you into the church, they get rewarded in heaven for that as well. |
So it's like Culdcept Saga.
That's much less crazy then I thought.
Culdcept saga rules.

| gergroy said: yeah, that isn't true, and the other part is partly true, but a lot more complicated than that. You seem to be rather ignorant of the mormon faith. |
| rocketpig said: Yeah... That's not really true. Well, the first part is a little true but the second part is just crazy-talk. |
The LDS has done a really good job of improving their image recently, but their actual beliefs which were 'revealed' to their founders as well as succeeding prohpets and apostles paints a much darker picture. Not only has the book of Mormon been altered from its original version, but many writings of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young are kept secret because they are damning to their outside image and attempts to gain followers.
Thats not to mention that their church history and revelations are complete bullshit. The United States government forced Mormons to outlaw polygamy before Utah could become a state, so their "prohpet" had a miraculous revelation where God said they shouldn't practice polygamy on Earth anymore. LOL
