Forums - Gaming - Dead Space Extraction. Whats the problem????

@rolstoppable your putting words in my mouth, in no way did i say that it played like the original DS and the guys at EA did not say it WOULD play like it either they did keep the violence and depravity of the original game (in term of gore), thats what im trying to get at, now that might not be enough, but like I said it is what it is. YOu cant break a promise you never made. YOu can either take what you got, or you can just spend your money on something that you feel is worth your time and money. If you wanna be mad at someone be mad at Activision and that whole Transformers debacle, now THAT was some BS

@digitalnasties  never suggested you had to buy, do what you want as for your "facts" thats how you feel that can never be a fact, im pretty sure their are some Wii owners who dont feel that way or could care less (im one of them). I would welcome Nnty going back to NES days. that would be exciting, but I think those days are long gone. I dont think you'll have a lot of games for the system if they do that, Ninty cant make that much games a year

You live longer by automatically shunning all third party wii games, its a better alternative to heartbreak and despondency.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

The problem is that Wii owners wanted a normal game and not another rail shooter. Between the 2 HD consoles I can think of 2 rail shooters (TIme Crisis 3 and 4). On Wii there are about a dozen. Then EA supposedly used the logic that since a rail shooter version of a game didn't sell that Wii owners dont want proper games.

I wonder if posts like these are troll posts. I mean is it that hard to understand the plight of the Wii owner? 3rd parties make 99 percent of their games shitty bug filled messes with broken controls and when we dont buy shit games like Deadly Creatures or Cursed Mountain, it means the 80 million userbase doesnt want good proper games.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

They are pretty good games.  Controlwise, sure they're not exactly Red Steel 2.

It got a lot of bad press because EA claimed the game was a "test" and it's "on rails." I've heard a lot of great things about it from people who actually bothered to play the game insted of instantly shunning it.

It's actually got a good enough story for an on rails shooter, great voice acting, and is indeed as violent as anything we've seen from Dead Space so far. It's a worthy addition to a great series of games/movies and deserves to be played.

I gave this a go before playing DS2 just to catch up with what happened before Dead Space, and it's quite awesome going through some recognizable areas of the Ishimura. How can anyone complain about getting this for free with the purchase of DS2? it's great.

Edit: I just nabbed this from IGN. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/114/1146461p1.html

wow EA didn't really change much graphically, they just added HD and well thats about it

i didn't finish the game on the wii.. i got kinda bored with the story

@rolstoppable  I guess "creepiness is in the eyes of the beholder and it depends on the person, I found the atmoshpere of the Extraction to be quite creepy, ok not as much as the regular game ill give you that and again no one at EA said that it would feel like the Dead Space on the HDs, people are acting like they were promised something particulary if that was the case then you would have every right to be pissed, but people assumed stuff and are made that there assumptions were wrong and you know what they say about assuming.

@CDiablo  I love light gun games can you tell me what these dozen are??? cause I can only think of the 2 HODs, 2 REs and the DS one. Thats only five, its not that much, there are far more exercise games on Wii than light gun, do we really need that much??? I never hear anyone complain about those, what about those Wii 3rd party games that arent bug filled messes, how do you explain why those games fail????

By the way, the iPhone version is awesome :D, i wouldnt mind EA porting this to the Wii

Part 2 of the video i just posted ;), with some action scenes :)

People don't like DS:E? News to me.
