Any major differences between PSP-2000 and PSP-3000 besides the microphone?

From Wiki:  "increased color range, five times the contrast ratio, half the pixel response time to reduce ghosting and blurring effects, a new sub-pixel structure, a microphone, a new disc tray design, new button designs and logos, and anti-reflective technology to improve outdoor playability. It can also output all games by component or composite using the video out cable"

The D-Pad was raised in response to complaints of poor performance,[87][88] while buttons offer improved responsiveness, confirmed in the GameSpot "hands-on" review: "several GameSpot editors have noticed that the d-pad and buttons on the new PSP provide a little more tactile feedback for a better overall feel."[89]

A new simpler and more compact UMD loading tray design was developed, in which the tray swivels out instead of opening up completely, while the Wi-Fi switch was moved to the top of the PSP. To address many consumer complaints about the Memory Stick door breaking off the old PSP, the Memory Stick door has been relocated and redesigned. The speakers were repositioned on the front of the PSP near the top of its screen. The infra-red port was also removed because it offered no use to the original PSP generation other than in homebrew applications. Its analog stick was also redesigned to be more flexible and is not removable without opening the PSP. The air vent at the top of the original was also removed.

Many say the screen as actually worse, though.

That's what I heard too. Is the difference concerning the screen actually noticeable?

Some what but one way to look at it; if you owned a 2K, the screen of the 3K wouldn't really push one to upgrade. Also, in certain situations, a lot of people said that the screen looks worse. I never owned a 3K, I've just seen picture comparisons of the screens. 3K indeed has better color but that's in the average rooms lighting.

The difference is mostly noticeable outside in the sun, I'd say. (between 1k and 3k).

Well... I just bought a PSP-3000 with Final Fantasy: Dissidia for 81 Euros on Ebay. I hope I made a good deal. Can't wait to try out Kingdom Hearts and Valkyria Chronicles II ;)

The screen on PSP-3000 is amazing to be honest, and there's a big difference between the 2000 and 3000:

The buttons on the 3000 feel better too, and it feels more comfortable in my hands than the 1000.

If it were up to me, I'd shell out a little more and buy a PSP-3000 (See if you can get it in a bundle with some nice games, lol), but that's just me, if you're tight for cash, just go for a 1000.

Bought one on ebay an hour ago. Thanks for all your advices! :D
