Fml. As if 2 and 3 were't abysmal/cliché enough.

Well the first was great, the 2nd... well... honestly I no longer recall but I think I thought it was so so as long as not compared to the first, and the 3rd was not bad (better than the 2nd), so there is hope.

Oh god, I enjoyed the first one a fair bit but couldn't even sit all the way through the sequels.

As a trilogy, they're not any better than the Star Wars prequels.

Hey the Starwars prequels were amazing films for their day. They were far better then the Matrix trilogy. Honestly I will probubly watch 4 and 5. I have been meaning to pick up the first three on BluRay for a while. But like others said the first one was amazing the other two not so much.

The sequels to The Matrix fall into a category of movie I call Action-Porn, which is characterized by all story elements being of little importance to the movie creators and only in place to produce "impressive" action sequences. Movie series that fall into this category tend to get worse with each successive sequel because they tend to have to keep adding more moronic plot and idiotic character development onto the heaping pile of garbage that came before to make the story line continue to produce opportunities for "money shots"

Ep 2 and 2 weren't as abysmal as the Matrix sequels but the original Matrix was better than any of the prequels by a considerable margin. Overall, they cancel each other out.

No, they were pretty bad movies in their day you were just too young to realize how bad they were ...

Starting with the special edition of Star Wars, everything George Lucas has worked on recently has been getting worse and worse; and it really makes me wonder whether George Lucas was just in the right place at the right time while knowing the right people to become so successful, or whether he had some sort of physical or emotional problem in the mid-1990s that impacted his ability to make a decent movie.

Wait...

*SPOLIER ALERT...(?)*

Didn't Neo die though?? Whatever.. Maybe he arose from the dead, like Jesus :P. But also, everyone in the Matrix who want to become free were supposed to be free. So I'm curious as to what story they could make out of this, since it seems like most of the conflicts were resolved in some way..

While I'm excited to see the potential in a new Matrix movies, I'm not expecting much in terms of quality, if they are anything like the 2nd and 3rd ones. The first was amazing, the second was decent. Really the only good part about it was the whole highway scene. And third 3rd pretty much sucked throughout..

Awful depressing tone to those films ...
