Im gonna be gettin my a nice paycheck in a few eeks for vacation hours I didnt use last year and I want to put it all towards a fully paid pre ordered 3DS! from Amazon but I have a few questions in genral about how this works:

1. Do I get it on time: Lets pretend the 3DS release March 16th are they gonna ship it so i get in on that date on do they ship it on release so I have to wait in agonizing pain for a few days?

2. Is it a gaurentee?: If i buy it, i wont get any messages later saying im sorrow but we ran out of 3DS you'll have to wait till there back in stock? or buy gaurentee, I buy it one is resevered for me.

Pretty sure the 3DS releases on a sunday, so you'll get it a day late from Amazon (if you do one day shipping).  Also they don't charge your card until it ships.

Not sure about the pre-order situation for consoles, I assume they have an idea of their first shipment and might halt pre-orders if that gets filled.

Why not pre-order it in a local store? You will have it on release day as well as deal with humans and encourage your local economy ; ).
