Origionally I joined NetFlix the day it became availible in Canada. I used the service about 3-4 times a week. I loved the service. However since then I have used the service less and less each week. The selection just isn't good enough I watched all the movies I was interested in, I watched InvaderZim and Avatar:TheLastAirBender. But I noticed this month I was renting about a movie or two a week and not watching NetFlix.

Fact is NetFlix offers barely anything new each month. No new weekly releases and no new content I am actually interested in. Since I am now spending about 20-30$ at the movie store each month renting movies I just couldn't justify paying 8.99 a month.

So today I cut my NetFlix. However NetFlix keeps claiming they will offer us with new releases and more content. So I will check back in a few months and consider whether to re-join. But for now they just don't offer enough content.

(Note I am Canadian and can only stream, the selection sucks)

So have you also quite NetFlix? if not how much do you actually use it, do you use it enough to make it worth while?

I have the one DVD, unlimited streaming plan, so  usually get about two DVDs a week and will stream certain shows I missed out on last year.

It is a quality service for me, cheaper then Blockbuster used to be and more selection then local libraries. If they ever dropped the DVDs like rumored is the goal, I'd probably drop them but for now. They have my blessing to snatch $10 off my credit card per month.

Weak when it comes to streaming??  I hope you guys in canada have a limited stream plan because otherwise that's nonsense to say.  These I have all watched through instant streaming, I have plenty of stuff lined up too.

I don't know how anyone couldbe disappointed in the streaming service, it provides hundreds of hours of quality entertainement.

I don't know the deal in Canada but i'm loving it here in the US.

I've watched Dexter, Heroes, and lots of movies on the instant streaming, particularly Full Metal Jacket and Salaam Bombay! that I needed to watch for class, so I'm happy with it. Right now I'm watching Dexter season 2 (streaming) and Torchwood season 2 (DVD).

I didn't know Yojimbo was on instant streaming though, I need to catch it!

Many of those titles are not availible on the Canadian version of NetFlix. Also I did watch a shit load of stuff the first month I had the service. But NetFlix barely updates with new titles and I watched most of what I wanted pretty early on. When the Canadian service gets updated more often and becomes more like the American service then I might get it again.

Also with NetFlix America moving away from DVD and more to streaming I hope that will mean the service gets alot better.
