Forums - Gaming - what ever happened to point and click games?

i dont see many released on the pc or a home console anymore (mainly pc)

like

Sam and Max, Kings Quest, Space Quest, Maniac Mansion, Maniac Mansion 2: Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Monkey Island

i decided to go back and play these games on my pc and it has me thinking they dont make much point and click games anymore, it was my favourite genre.. i like the idea of interacting with the character.. if you seen any point and click games for today. can you point me in the right direction?

There's a couple for the Wii and ports of Sam and Max and Monkey Island for the PS3/360 but I guess the genre is pretty dead.  Nothing new that I can think of.

most of them are Flash or iOS games these days but

Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth (This game also has a lot of point and click)

Secret Files: Tungusta (DS and Wii)

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

i looked up the Heroes series video games and diablo (because i never heard of them), it reminds me of Command & conquer though

but no they are not the games, these games right here i'm talking about

You honestly want to know? Graphics. Mysts main selling point was graphics imo, this and the newer zorks (can someone tell me where to get zork nemesis, i love that game)

For adventure game nerds, they seems to live in another universe than the normal gamespot, ign, and kotaku sites that we usually visit. Go to this site, you will discover tons of adventuring are still awaiting for you: "http://www.adventuregamers.com/"

@siko1989 if you have played neverwinter nights, diablo is similar to that. Command and Conquer is more like Age of Empires.

Heroes of might and magic is more similar to age of wonders in my opinion.

Just remembered that I used to play a point-and-click game called Aztec: The Cursed City, or something like that, but never finished the game because I lost the CD :< I was so damn close of finishing it!
It was funny because the voices had spaniard accent although the characters were indigenous mexicans.

It was a great game and the only adventure game I ever played :/
