I can almost guarantee you that people are NOT going to like the next Halo from these guys.

Point and case number 1: Great software titles are produced by great software makers.

Many of the developers at 343 are amongst the who's who of talented software developers.

They were just formed by Microsoft. For all we know, they could tank this one. The only information I know about them is that Frank O' Connor, a former Bungie employee, now works as the Creative Director for them, and I'm pretty sure many other developers like him are working for them. But since they're young and many of the developers working for them are as well, in experience I mean, it may not go well. Plus, all the past titles were produced by Bungie. Stiff competition right there.

Theres no reason to expect that they won't make a great title, there have been numerous news pieces on the talent they picked up, everywhere from locally to the Metal Gear Solid 4 team under Kojima.

Tease.

Wouldn't it be counter-productive to hire someone who had lots of PS3 experience and little to none 360?

I was just about to say that.

Be honest:  do you either of you really want to see or say anything positive about this or are you trolling?  Do either of you even own an 360 or play/like Halo games?

If you really did, you could go look up information about 343 Industries and see the caliber of talent that they've put in place over the last several years OR you would genuinely ask.  Instead you are critical and dismissive.  That's just not constructive to this discussion.

OT: The strategic movement of Gears of War 3 to September is pretty clear evidence to me that there is NO Halo game coming this year to the 360.  Personally, I don't think it needs one either.  MS doesn't need to be like Activision and drive Halo into the ground.  Let us miss it for a bit and bring something worth the wait.  But we might see what they've been up to come E3 and have it poised for a September 2012 release.  That sounds like  a more realistic assessment of what they're likely up to.

My big question:  What form will the game take?  Just another FPS, or will there be more ... evolution?

They're just trollin'. Developer must have 20 billion games under his belt to even touch Halo. Because talent/experience is non existent in young people.. Man according to hasanwhy, we have a bunch of middle aged/old gits working in the game industry. "He's young, he doesn't have experience!"

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Has any developer peaked the 360's graph card yet? Crytek should be the first but I would like to see 343 do it. Would be awesome for a new Halo Wars... I will play that tonight I think :)

The experience is about game design not console game design...

They don't necessarily have to be perfect at programming for the 360, there will be others in the team for that. You know that in a game design team... not everyone programs right?

I was just about to say that.

I was about to say one of you needed to do some reading, I guess that means both of you now.

Tease.

there was a thread going around what 343 stood for... what is it exactly? I know 3 4 3 = 10 but I doubt that is it haha
