Now in MS's defence, for that price they do provide programming tools, phone emulators and other goodies for XNA app and game development.

Seeing as how he wanted to work with Sony I doubt he would be that annoyed. He'll probably be ecstatic if he can get a job at MS

I think this dude is smarter than that. He might prefer working for himself and earn its own merit than being employed at any company.

It depends on whether he'd rather work for someone else or remain free to work on whatever project he wants to.

Hotz' main problem is finding a way to legally attain compensation for his work as up until now, he's basically been doing it as a hobby. Not much money in doing free work.
