Just wow... Made me think it was written by a 10 year old. How do you even come up with such amazing nonsensical garbage?

but as i said, he isnt a japanese, he is a student, he hasnt any relation tos quare, and he dont care for FF. in fact, he is selling his copy with 70% off the trophies yet to obtain.. okay, we could tell that he's one tough guy, but i dont think Square should give promo copies to people who just dont like RPGs. |
This is Western focus group testing. Can you not call him up and confirm?

well he's from a german board (Videogameszone.de), and i dont have any special relation to him, he's just a user there, i am a mod.
Until now, there was no reply. (except ~ Random User: 'Hey Crystal, Why do you cover his name?' FFXIII-2user: 'im sure crystal wouldnt want to cause thousands of spammails into my PSN Mailbox. ~ .. thats it.. it could be that he wont be replying how, or why (Because of dataprotection? if it really is a focus group test, could it be a problem to him, when he says too much..?). sadly. but i am sure there will be some news about that soon.)

At least try to ask him if its more open-world please!
I believed Fabula Nova Crystallis would turn around the downward FF spiral that started with FF X. But they completely ruined it. FF XIII wasn't very good, and now they're making a direct sequel? I thought the entire concept around FNC wasn't to make direct sequels, but games based on the same mythology! Agito XIII has been made into a new spin-off series, does it actually still have anything to do with FNC?
Versus XIII is the only game I still have hope for. But why do I get the feeling SE will screw this up as well?

i'll try. =D .. darn, i'd like to know that too, now that youve mentioned it.

There is no doubt that it will be more open world, and less linear. i think a lot of the things from FF12 will make a return, like exploration, cities and towns, many NPCs, many sidequests, much more customisable characters, an awesome sword fight with GIlgamesh, mark hunting, only with a lot more depth like in FF12. where NPCs tell you about how to track down and defeat your marks.
the only thing i think will be the same, is the same melodrama, the same awful dialogue and the same awful voice acting with the characters, and possibly the same abysmal story, which will make it bargain bin for me, if i decide to get it at all.
Toriyama has already spoken about how his team is working to respond to the opinions of FF13, imo theres no doubt their going to implement those things that everyone has spoken about.

Yeah but would be good to hear a player tell us how it is. If he is in the focus group he definetely can't talk though.
humm. interesting mithology...
So L'cies are not necessarely humans? Then what is a non-humam l'cie?
Maybe Eidolons? ;D
-------------------
Vanille is the only character with the ability Death. Maybe she has a connection with Etros? I am not sure if Fang and Vanille were Pulse L'cie. The game talked about that? If not, then maybe they are Etro L'cies...
-------------------
So confusing.....what is the point of Cocoon anyway? Creating humans for a sarifice? Sacrifice for what, wake up buniberzei?
I think I should play FFXIII again(even through i platinum'ed it.) >.<

These analects aided me in understanding that, you get them when you finish the last 3 missions:
XI. Hypothesis of the Hunt
Edit
Obtain: Clear Mission 63: Crushed by Doubt
We've long held the goal of the fal'Cie's endless excavations to be the expansion of the world's inhabitable space-the creation of new lands with which to honor the gods. But I contend this to be false. Their methods lack the order one would expect if that were their purpose, and what's more, the gods they would honor have long since departed this world.
I propose a different explanation: the fal'Cie are hunting. Whether they seek a way to recall the gods or to journey to their side I cannot say, but I do believe the fal'Cie seek their lost deities. They search the earth, the skies, the waters, and even the deep places, seeking a gateway to the Divine.
-- On the Nature of Fal'Cie XII. The Door of Souls
Edit
Obtain: Clear Mission 63: Crushed by Doubt
When our earthly vessels meet their end, the souls they housed must leave this world. Would the path of their migration not be the same one as our departed gods? Must they not pass through the same doorway the Divine employed to reach that place that lies beyond?
If this is the case, it stands to reason that, should a great many lives at once be cut short, a flood of souls would surge through the aforementioned portal. The Door would be thrown wide, and perhaps we might even glimpse the gleaming light of Divinity beyond.
-- On the Nature of Fal'Cie XIII. Fabula Nova Crystallis
Edit
Obtain: Clear Mission 64: The Doomherald
Children of Hallowed Pulse scour earth, searching substance for the Door. Those of Fell Lindzei harvest souls, combing ether for the same. So have I seen.
The Door, once shut, was locked away, with despair its secret key; sacrifice, the one hope of seeing it unsealed.
When the twilight of the gods at last descends upon this world, what emerges from the unseeable expanse beyond that Door will be but music, and that devoid of words: the lamentations of the Goddess Etro, as She sobs Her song of grief.
