that sucks...i guess

Makes sense. Frankly i'm surprised they lasted this long

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

After that crap ball that was the KOF 12 im not surprised, that sucks though, because 13 looked like a return to form. Someone needs to buy this company, Capcom could do it and show them how to make a fighter again. or Square Enix, hell even Activision, they need some funding

Huh, what other games do they make?

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

Oh, ok... I guess that is why I probably don't know anything about them-- haven't played those games.

Very dissapointed because the KOF13 feedback seemed postive. I actually bought KOF12 at release and was really dissapointed, but KOF13 seemed to have everything the past KOF's had in terms of gameplay and content.

I also sadly bought Sam Shodown Sen near release - horrible mistake considering the quality and current price (sub $13 new)

Though in reality the only games I enjoyed were KOF94UM and KOF2002UM on XBL. I played a few Metal Slug games here and there to.

It's just that simple.

Thats too bad I was just thinking I would love to see MetalSlug 3DS. However I am also not to suprised SNK used to be one of the big guns as far as arcade games go their games were in every arcade. Infact with NeoGeo SNK was even one of the big console manufacturers. Its hard to see them going the way of Atari.

Maybe they will liscense their IP's to independant developers and have a few key staff move into the studios to direct the development. I would hate to see them leave gaming though. I would love to see them continue to publish games whether in house or not.

You never know disolving their internal studios may give them more options and the ability to get indy studios or other studios to develope for them.

Sad, but not really unexpected.  They've been struggling all gen.

I can't really see anyone wanting to rescue them either, more likely they'll eventually just die off and retro-vultures like D4E or Gmode will pick over the corpse.  Like Data East, Compile or Nihon Telenet all over again.
