Nope no saves, you have to do the 24h in one go.

That would be fun xD.

Though I wouldn't last more than 6 hours. I always get disconnected from the PSN a lot, during the day XD.

Where do you set you wheel?

theirs a 3d tv in the saloon and an hd tv in my room, i usually put my wheel in its box in my room and when i want to use it i bring a table and put the wheel on it.

i got so addicted to the wheel that i only play with it. but im lazy so i never feel like setting it up.

Is this 24 hours in real life too?

What's the reward?

Yeah, it's one of the most prestigious races in current motorsports: http://www.lemans.org/en/

It's done with teams of 2-3 pilots, each taking 8 hours turns.

In GT5, the Cr reward isn't that great, only 831K Cr. I don't know how much is the Exp reward, but I do hope it's substantial, as the Tsukuba 9 hours was 1.2M exp.

You can find the Endurance rewards at this link: http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134047

Don't click if interested in avoiding spoilers!

Yeah I know

I have been avoiding that thread for a long while. Last time I saw it, it was still pretty much incomplete, since the rewards in A-Spec were only filled up until Suzuka 1000 Km and B-Spec to Tsukuba 9 Hours, plus no one had still won the Sebastian Vettel Silver and Gold prizes xD.

They have now added all the info. Couldn't resist looking!

I don't see much of a point in Gran Turismo endurance races. The difficulty level usually is ridiculously low and the only challenge posed is to sit through the entire event with one boring lap after another. It doesn't look like this has changed with GT5, only that the duration of the races has increased even moreso.

I agree with this, I did every endurance in GT1 and 2 and the race was always decided in the first 5 laps, with just another hour or threes racing to do.

Yes but that's the point of endurance. I guess the focus is on resistance. If looking for a tougher challenge you could always enter with a less tuned car or one sub-par to the competition.

It depends on what car you use. If you bring a Le Mans Prototype car like the 787b or Toyota Gt-One Race Car to an endurance where the A.I races Golf cars and whatnot, of course it won't be a challenge.

Now, if you bring an equal powered car without having any tyre advantage as well, the race will be more exciting. Especially now in GT5, were the A.I always seems to have better tyre management than you can have. I'm perplexed that the A.I 787b can last 12 laps with a set of Racing Softs and I can barely hold 10 laps.

I set mine on my college room. I used my studying desk as a place to place the wheel. It holds quite nicely, so I just left it there.

The endurance events are not for me. I did the 60 lap one, then fell asleep during the 90 lap one at laguna seca. I literally jumped awake parked in the chicane. I was still ahead so kept going for a bit, then paused the game for a break. When I got back I must have hit the wrong button, since suddenly I was back at the start at 0/90. WTF why is there no confirmation dialog on restart race???

I'm running them in B-spec mode now to unlock the X1. Too bad it's not like GT4 where you can switch between A-spec and B-spec mode during the race and speed up the race during B-spec. I'll just play the good bits separate, driving at sunset and sunrise on nordschleife is awesome.
