I think you over/underestimate many families.
I bet tons of kids have played GOW3, let alone playing a cartoony version of him in a game. No clue who Sweet Tooth is... Twisted Metal clown?

Yeah.
To be honest, this is a good way to spread some of the names around to a new generation of gamers. I think if Sony actually promote this game the right way, it could be a huge success.....But.....I doubt it will get the right level of advertisement to get to that level.

IF the game is good stuff. I absolutely LOVED most of those character games last gen (even though Jak 2 is a love/hate thing), but there is no Insomniac here. No Naughty Dog, no Sucker Punch. It's Nihilistic. Look at their dev history and tell me why this game will be the exception.
