Of course the PS3 is going to sell 50% more in France. France hates American and American products. Stop posting the obvious. Same with Japan. We already know the XBox 360 isn't going to sell as well as the Wii and PS3 in Japan. We all know why. Has nothing to do with the system itself or the games, as the XBox 360 has a slew of Japanese developed games that would sell lots on the PS3. It all has to do with the culture, the hate and the biase for against another nation. Period.

Direct sales information for PS3 in a country along with a very good idea of what 360 sold isn't about sales?  What the hell are you talking about.  Please stop trolling this thread as this is as relevant as it can possibly get to sales.

Anyway, it's small victories like this that have helped the PS3 to outsell the 360 for '10.  And if this weeks numbers are any indication, it may continue to outsell the 360 for '11, too.  Even though the 360 leads in the "larger" market.

And man, isn't it a little early to start "TEH PS# IZ OVERSHIPZ!!" excuse?  When will people learn you can't stuff the retail channels for A STRAIGHT YEAR IN A ROW.  Just seems people aren't going to be able to accept it if/when PS3 outsells the 360.

LTD : Wii = 5 M PS3=3M 360=2.2M

Move : 220.000 cam move bundle

Kinect : 300.000

Games : 8 M on PS3, 4.7 M on 360.

PS3 dominates the 360 all over UE except UK

Ps3 and xbox360 overtracked (vgc is fairly accurate). But it seems that xbox360 is more overtracked.

500 000 Sales for "Gran Turismo 5" in one month

The French market was very well received in the racing game Gran Turismo 5, exclusively on the PlayStation 3 with 500,000 copies sold to date in one month of sale, making it the second best selling PS3 game of 2010, behind Call of Duty: Black Ops and before Fifa 2010 , according to figures released by Sony in Monde.fr.

 

So round about 550-600k sold till date compared to 760k in UK.

Actually, both companies have shipped 300'000 units according to both companies. To give you an idea, GfK reported 76'100 Kinect units sold in November, when MS concurrently announced 100'000 Kinects sold. So 300'000 shipped Kinects roughly equate to 220-240'000 Kinects sold. As for Moves actually sold, your guess is as good as mine.

ms was originally announcing sold to consumers not shipped numbers. this has been said.

When all is said and done the PS3 will have still LOST this generation by a huge, huge margin. There's no victory in coming in 2nd or 3rd,you know that right? LOL!! Sony has completely failed this generation in worldwide market shares. Sorry. Hope you can accept that.
