Just saw the news item about "Avatar Kinect" coming to the 360 on here.  Supposed to be a meeting place of sort for XBox owners, where they can meet, play games and so on.  Anyone want to care to speculate it is Microsoft venturing into the area that Sony has with Home, in that it is a place to meet new XBox owners who would have similar interests, the way Home is?  Or are we just likely to see it be a friend list only activity.

I do hope they provide a means of meeting new people... or at least the program enables an expansion of the friend list beyond 100 people, which was promised MONTHS ago.

Maybe it is like a smaller version of PS home, but more practical in game related terms and less focused on any generic MMO trait. It could be a waiting area of sorts between or before games.

I sincerely hope its nothing like home. I want something that is both functional and fun, not just barely even functional.

Made me think of the War Rooms from MechAssault 2 before games.

It's going to be a PS Home clone. And of course all 360 owners who said that PS Home sucks will now say how great Avatar Kinect is.

As long as it lets me stalk girly avatars and touch them up with kinect, I'm in.

Why would anyone want to copy Home?
