It's funny, Gundam Masou and a few other 3rd party titles are far better quality 3rd party titles than the Wii has. It makes me wonder how well Gundam Masou or Resistance would do if it were on Wii. :)

And I'm reffering to the quality of the game, not the power of the hardware it runs on.

How funny. 1 Game on the Wii, have sold more than EVERY game on the PS3 combined.

I think it's odd that people are criticizing the success of the Wii series over it's competition. It's a couple months after launch! you want some killer titles for the system to surge on. What the PS3 really needs right now is that kind of title. So far Gundam Masou is the closest thing the country has to an "it" title. If the system had launched with Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy, those games would tower over the competition too. But it would also drive sales.

So far the only problem I see with the Wii's software performance in Japan is that a lot of the third party games are just plain crap. Look at DBZ. The game is a ps2 port and it still managed 120,000. That's proof that third party software can do quite well on the Wii. Give it some real software and it'll sell a heck of a lot.

You know I was wondering about that and I realized how smart Nintendo is.  I think they knew that the Japanese market would really look at a game like Wii Sports and pick it up.

They also probably knew that Wii Sports needed some, let's say press or attention in the U.S., before it would sell and that's why it was packaged with Wii.

Really smart with that.  I might join Nintendo just to make that dough you know.
