im looking to buy a used copy of this game and the guy says the online codes have been used but you can still play online is this true or is it just like other ea games and i will have to purchase another online pass

Online codes can only be used once. You need to buy a new code.

Just buy it new. Unless you save over $10 (the price of an online code) then its not worth buying used anyways.
