Good point. I think the vast majority of the most innovative games were innovative in their use of special contols on the DS and Wii. However, games like Rock Band, Halo 3, The Orange Box, and SMG did have some innovation.

Halo 3 has 2 things not seeing a shooter before on consoles. 4 player co-op campaign online and the theater feature. Not sure if you ever play Halo 3 but both of those where great additions to the genre especially the theater since the 4 player co-op was bound to happen. I know Halo 3 gets discredited because of all the hype but it was a really top notch game.

Best innovation Halo3 lol. (its a great game but innovative?)

and Best Audio Design SMG? I mean the music was nice but the weird sounds that are coming from Mario are beyond annoying.

Love how no one ever mentions skate. when it comes to innovation. Most creative use of a traditional gamepad I’ve seen in years, and not so much of a mention from anyone. =P

Disagree with Best Innovation lol, but everything else seems pretty right to me. I'm very glad that Bioshock got best visual design.
