Is Nier's storyline as good as people say it is? I've been hearing from Neogaf and Gamefaqs that Nier has possibly, the best storyline and characters to come out of an RPG in a very long time on consoles. So, is it really true, or is this a product of people's low expectations going into the game?

The story is very good. This is a hidden gem game IMO.

2nd playthrough varies quite a bit. 3rd is mainly the same and 4th is just an ending change with a super boss.

You start at the mid point of the game on your 2nd/3rd/4th plays. Only takes about 4 hours to complete them too so it's not too bad.

Excellent. I was afraid I was going to have to play the entire game 3 more times after my first playthrough to completely beat the game. It starting at the mid point of the game is welcoming. Also, is the music in Nier as good as everybody says it is? And lastly, is their alot of plot twists in the storyline of Nier?

The soundtrack is really good. It has a lot of vocal tracks though, so be wary if that isn't your kind of thing.

Actually, it's the same ending, but each time it reveals more. Except for the last one, it's an alternative (which also saves you time, cause you only have to redo the game twice instead of three times).

Ending A > B > C or A > B > D.

The story is average until the "midpoint", then there are lots of plot twists and it's f****n amazing.

About the music, it's one of the best soundtracks ever.

Are the characters interesting enough to hold me until the storyline picks up at midpoint?

The characters are one of NieR's strongest aspect. They, especially Kaine and Weiss, have some hilarious dialogue, and the interactions between them are fun.

OK. So overall, what would you guys rate Nier from 1 to 10?
