Forums - Gaming - So what do you want in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?

I would like to be just like Oblivion, only with better graphics and non scaling world.

And i like the idea of a online dwell system. Maybe add that.

Similar to Morrowind would make me really happy, there was some magic in Morrowind, Oblivion was pretty mediocre.

You haven't been here for long and I can already tell you have bad video game tastes :P

Or to be ethically correct I should say that you have a very different opinion than mine.

Diplomatic, not ethically correct. I wouldn't call it bad taste, I just prefer a sequel to not take more steps back than forward and for it not to have quite possibly the worst story in a Western RPG ever.

But it's not because it takes step back that the game is mediocre.

What do you think would have been your opinion of Oblivion if you have played it before Morrowind?

Most likely pretty good I'm thinking.

So that means you should change your expectations.

Now I understand why you dislike every new FF.

I'm not an Elder's Scrolls fan (I probably just don't "get" the game), but I think online needs to be included in some way. What's the point of doing all the sidequests (especially the late ones) for the best armors and weapons when you can't even show them off?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

When I use the term mediocre I don't mean I dislike the product, I enjoyed my time with Oblivion, but objectively compared to Morrowind and how progressive Morrowind was for its time I can't called Oblivion anything but mediocre, my experience with Morrowind was much greater. Same applies to FF10 and FF13, two games I've seen you praise on the forums, I definitely enjoyed my time with them but I can't see them anything but mediocre at the end. FF12 I just didn't enjoy though and I have many reasons. So I only outright dislike 1 of the new Final Fantasy's. Anyway there was no need to bring that into it, if you can defend oblivion, defend it, don't involve another franchise in the discussion.

I want the environments to be more varied, the animations to get sorted out as well as facial expressions, less buggy, a playable third person view, controlls and player movement more weighty, a much larger variety of spells as well as a different visual effect for different spells, more types of armour and weapons, and motivation to complete the main story line. I spent over 50 hours on my main playthrough and harldy touched the main campaign, i completed the thieves guild storyline which was really awesome. oh i eventually stopped playing oblivion because some how i turned into a vampire and it was way too hard to cure myself!

Just keep it away from being a MMO and I'm all happy, you could make everything have a high pitch voice I would still be happy...

Former something....

1. No scaling

2. No fast travel and other casualisations

3. Levitation

4. Vision 3D support

5. A good and beefy central storyline

6. Low system reqs

You are going to be one disappointed gamer come November.

- No level scaling

- No crippling glitches

- More than 4 voice actors

- Playable 3rd person view

Do this and I will be happy. Don't do this, I will buy the game anyway.
