Haha. Thats cos most people just read the nintendo bit then posted rather that read the other 2 rants XD. i just dont like nintendo games. got bored of them about the 170th mario game (that isnt sarcasm by the way lol there are litersly over 200 now)

I really don't see the problem. Sure, there are some, few people who refuse to accept any other claims than their own, but most of the VGChartz community is quite willing to change their stances, and accept that they might be wrong, if you only tell them in a nice matter.

If a person comments in a thread stating that he thinks the Ps3 is going to finish first, and then lists a couple of strange reasons why, should you assume that he's a desperate fanboy who reasoning with won't help? No. If you actually answer with some points as to why you think they are wrong, rather than just saying *facepalm*, or whatever, you're going to get a far more coherent response. In many scenarios, they actually do have some good points.

Assuming that "everybody" is a rabid fanboy of a console is just plain wrong. Most of them are quite clever people who are somewhat blinded by their love for their machine, yes. But people are like that on everything. Huge amounts of people in the western civilizations are convinced that they live in the best country in the world, or that their car of choosing is better than all other cars.

Would you tell those people "you're such a Denmark fanboy, I'm not even bother going to explain to you why you're retarded", or anything of the sort? No, you'd explain why you disagree.

The problem isn't that there are more "fanboys" on VGChartz than there is pretty much anywhere else, it's that people don't respect people disagreeing with them. They don't behave properly to the people who disagree with them at all. If you just explain why you disagree, nine out of ten seemingly rampant fanboys will be willing to alter their beliefs.

The people constantly upset about "fanboys" are a far, far larger problem to the VGChartz community than the vast majority of the people who supposedly are "fanboys".
