They are TVs made with Texas Instruments DLP chip. I think its only North America that gets them sadly. I find them really good personally especially the last gen od LED based DLPs that samsung made in 2009 (one of which I own)

Do you know how to hack 3d vision to work at 60hz? I keep seeing that it can be done, but not how to do it. I still have 3d on my laptop(polarised), but having it on my telly would be a fun distraction.

I heard if you wear certain brand glasses upside down, it works for different brand.

I am not sure if you are talking about running 3D visionon a normal 60 hz TV, or running 3D vision on a 3D TV @ 60 hz.

The first is not possible...you can't hack 3D vision to work on regular 60 hz tvs. The lowest you can go is 85 hz on some old CRT monitors...any lower and its headache.

The second option is already supported at 720p, as the new 3D TVs all work at 720p@60hz when it comes to non bluray 3D. 1080p@60hz is not possible and this isn't a limitation of 3D vision, but of the TVs themselves.

Nvidia 3D vision is by default assigned to give you 1080p@24hz for 3D bluray and 720p@60hz for everything else in 3D...however people have hacked it to work at 1080p@24hz for gaming as well. But I don't think that would look very good...

CES 2011 blew 3D doors wide open.

- 1080p Projectors, monitors with HDMI 1.4 which support PS3

- passive 3D TVs with full HD,

-active 3D TVs with passive glasses

My thread was current for 2 weeks lol...
