My hunble opinion of the best SOAD songs as a fan of nearly 10 years:
Self Titled Album:
- Sugar
-Know
- Suite Pee
Toxicity:
- Toxicity (great drums in that one)
- Prison Song (love the lyrics, really a politically savy song and gets you pumped up)
- Chop Suey
- Needles
-Deer Dance
-Forest
- Shimmy (odd song, but in a good way. Very jazzy, upbeat sounding drums)
- Aerials (great vocals and melody in this song, very beaufiful)
Steal This Album!
- Chic 'N Stew (very funny lyrics, upbeat adreniline pumpin' track)
- Nuguns
- ADD (kick ass riffs will get ya head banging)
- IEAIAIO
- Fuck the System
- Ego Brain (very melodic and nice vocals)
- Streamline
Mezmerize
- BYOB (deceptively catchy track)
- Cigaro (sweet riffs)
- Radio/Video (fast paced track that just keeps rising in building in intensity and speed)
- Violent Pornography
Hypnotize
- Attack
- Hypnotize
- Stealing Society
- Vicinity of Obscenity (wacky lyrics, really fun song)
Toxicity is my favorte album as you can probably tell from the number of songs I listed. I'd reccomend that one first if you're looking to get into them. The first album is great too, more of a raw sound. The two latest, Hypontized and Mezmerize tend to be more catchy, shorter, more mainstream type of tracks. Also, the guitars have been uptuned giving a more refined rock sound as opposed their older heavy metal sound. I don't really prefer that route but those albums still have some great songs.
