Forums - General - Have You Ever Robbed Someone ?

Never robbed (forcefully took something from someone) but me and my step-brother used to steal all the time.  Whenever we saw something cool that we liked, we stole it. I clearly remember the first time I found out.  I was in the arcade when this guy came running in, looked around for a minute, and ran out.(*edit*this guy was a store employee and he was chasing my step-brother who hid inside of an arcade machine--I was in the arcade watching people play games.) Later, when my mom picked me up, he showed me his new toys.

I don't know how much later it was, but we wound up going to "Play Land" in the mall and my bro showed me some empty packages.  He just smiled.  "You STOLE them!!?", I asked.  From that point on, we were proffessional toy theives.  Later, we started renting video games and switching the labels of the ones we liked with games we didn't like.  Nobody ever put two and two together and found out that we were the reason that nobody ever got the games the intended to rent.

Years later, he became a preacher and I became a cop.  I don't know about him, but the only thing I stole since then was the dignity of innocent women......and a Nintendo DS (It was an accident!  I thought it was my daughter's!).

LOL

Somewhere between the ages of 11 and 14, thick in the Pokemon TCG craze, there was the reasonably rich guy living in my block who happened to have a lot of Pokemon cards. We (me, my friend and him) were playing the Dreamcast in his basement one day, when he went upstairs to grab something - me and my friend stuffed as many cards as we could into out pockets and made an excuse to leave. We entered my house and were looking at the cards when my mom came out of nowhere. We quickly shoved the cards into a closet and went outside. When I came home, she said what the heck is this and showed the cards to me. She made my friend and me give the cards back and apologize to him.

Sometimes they give free samples with the papers. One time they had these new chips - I went around the block and nearby blocks grabbing as many as I could with my friends (there were like 5 of us). We managed to grab like 20-25 bags. I also remember stealing these smiley faced pins one morning. I got up like at 6 and then ran around the block and I managed to steal 3-4.

Lol something like that happened to me, me and a few friends in the neighborhood collected YuGiOh cards. One time we were playing around and a new kid came out and wanted to play. While we were all playing hide and go seek, he went over and stole all of my good cards. But I'm kind of glad that the guy stole them because it got me out of YuGiOh and I stopped wasting time and money on it haha.

You need some new friends!

They aren't bad kids ... I just think they can be mislead sometimes.

Unless someone shows them what they're doing is wrong and what the impact of their behaviour is, they definetly will turn into one.

I have no words for this kind of behaviour. Show some f-ing respect to others. (EDIT: I mean this in general, not specifically to you, so no offense. Although i agree, you need some new friends.)

Their not part of any gangs, they don't do drugs, or carry around firearms. They could use some " mentoring. "
But I don't think their headed in that direction. And I forgot to point out that this happened a couple of years ago. They hardly rob kids nowadays.

You did assisted even you "didn't do anything".

I would have stopped them, if they were really my friends. Otherwise, stop hangging out with them. Bad influence is bad.

How would you feel if you were the victim?

I was younger. No need to try and send me to a guilt trip.

Your friends sound like wankers to be honest.

Also nah I haven't, I've been a goody goody two shoes all my life =P

Aren't you already on the guilt trip when you started this thread?

Aparts from sweets. There was a time where me and my two other brothers attended karate class just to steal this kid Pokemon Gold, it was so calculating, so cold and yet so awesome. Sitting here I still don't regret it at all, that game was fricken awesome.

Nah. I wanted to make an " interesting " thread that wouldn't create flamewars.

I don't think I stole anything in my life...maybe something like sweets from relatives...that's the only thing I can imagine..=/

I, however, did play some pirated games 5 years back. I didn't pirate though. Given to me by a friend. That's what got me into gaming (lmao).

I did get robbed, but I got my stuff back, I caught the girl (that's right) who did it by reading her mind at the age of 5.

i think its weird that there seems to be a lot less hate against robbing and stealing in this thread than there is hate in each thread about software piracy. what is wrong with people?
