I'm actually surprised that both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 went down.

But Japan is not part of the Americas.  Haha!

Wow @ Wii sales!!! But we all know what that means though ....  Pachter was right... the world is coming to an end!

DKCR on it's way to pass the million and Dance Central just passed 500K. Very good week indeed!

I'm talking about 360 lackluster sales in Japan not Americas.

Although those are some very good GT5 2nd week numbers, the gap between GT5 and GT4 has only increased T__T.

It's not a big deal really. GT5 is doing spectacularly when we take install bases into account. GT4 had a much larger install base to sell to at launch. GT5's financial success is going to be all about legs. Mmm.. legs...

Many games have prooven that userbase doesn't count that much.

More importantly it isnt the hardware mover that many thought would take the PS3 to heaven.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

and according to famitsu,Kinect sold 40000 in Japan

first week:16911,2nd week:10882,3rd week:12683

(dont know why theres big different between famitsu and MC first week)

Is that good?

Nice week, excellent for Nintendo, but I feel Sony will drop PS3 price in Q3 2011 and it will release a GT5 expansion of, say, ~5-10 more American tracks and ~100 American cars, 80 standard and 20 premium.

I know that, but given that Simulacrum's context was referring to the Americas it just seemed so out of place.  :)
