Hard to say what "Canadian food" really is. I guess fast food like hot dogs and hamburgers.

Most of our national foods come from Quebec. But we do have plenty they are just really fat or really sugary. Like Butter Tarts.

I don't really consider Quebec a part of Canada. They're nothing like the rest of Canada.

Did someone name sea urchins? That's hardly more gross than most shellfish. Anyway, I used to eat "casu marzu". That's literally "rotten cheese", also known as maggot cheese.

You basically let a piece of sheep cheese be infested by the kind of small flies you often find in the wine cellars. Once the fly eggs hatch the maggots start tunneling in the cheese, then after some of this maturing you open the rind and eat the larva-digested cheese creamy remains together with the live maggots. On bread. While the maggots try to jump away.

Yeah, it's a brutal and smelly short food chain. On the other hand I haven't eaten any in over twenty years, since I became a vegetarian.

Oh I love Pork Rinds,  especially with some Tobasco sauce on it.

So you're a separatist? :) We're one of the original provinces so we've always been part of Canada.
