Forums - Sony - PS3 Firmware Update v3.55... JUST A SECURITY PATCH

Now Sony doesn't release anything together PS3 updates to camouflage the new lock to PS Jailbreak. Security patch is nice and good but I want anything else... could put some cool features in these updates.

PS3 System Software Update (v3.55)

A new PS3 system software update, v3.55, will be released soon. This is a minor update that adds a security patch

I hope it adds something secret too!

Anyway another FAIL update.

Sweet, Can't wait! Sony finally listened to our complaints and did what we wanted.

Can they do these updates without me knowing. These useless updates are getting on my nerves

Lets see what feature is stealth removed this time.  Maybe they want to axe the rest of the third party controllers they missed the first time and didn't announce in the update notes.

Did they stealth remove something without me knowing while i was gone?

I assume this is probably because the recent downgrader that was released, allowing people to downgrade from 3.50 to 3.41. It's pretty much to late at this point, it's jailbroken and it's not going back, they'll fight it the whole way though.

Strange timing. Not too long ago, a Downgrader was released, which worked for FW 3.50.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

You missed the (last?) update that disbaled a bunch of third party adapters for PS2 pads/memory cards, PS3 controller and various brands of arcade stick?

...without announcing it first.

I just got my ps3 like 2 weeks ago, i haven't been on for months lol
