Forums - Gaming - Bulletstorm Release Date Revealed

It’s long been known that Epic Games and People Can Fly’ loudmouth First-Person Shooter (FPS) collaboration is set to arrive in early 2011, but the publisher Electronic Arts has been tight-lipped about a specific date. Until now that is, when an updated to Bulletstorm’s profile page on the Electronic Arts Extranet has revealed the release date for the multiformat title.Bulletstorm tells the story of a futuristic confederation protected by an elite band of mercenaries: Dead Echo. When Dead Echo members Grayson Hunt and Ishi Sato learn they've been working for the wrong side, they're betrayed by their commander and exiled to the  far reaches of the galaxy. Players step into the role of Hunt complete with an arsenal of over-the-top combat moves and outrageously large guns, using the skillshot system that rewards players for inciting mayhem in the most creative way possible. The more insane the skillshot, the more points players collects to upgrade their character and unlock weapons, which then allows them to execute even more creative moves and exaggerated skillshots.

You should probably post the date in the OP.

Feb 22, 2011.

Not sure if that's a good date for the game though, as it has to go head-to-head with KZ3 for PS3 owner's cash. KZ3 will slaughter it, especially in EMEAA.

The only release-date 'left' would be summer 2011.

September 2010: Halo: Reach
November 2010: CoD Black Ops
February 2011: Killzone 3
April 2011: Crysis 2
holiday season 2011: Resistance 3 (probably), Gears of War 3

So a June release might be a date without a lot of competition, but thats a slow time anyway. You have to release it some time anyway. There is a crowded schedule for shooters.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

if this brings the Gears 3 BETA than KZ3 will get killed in sales.

But Kz3 is only in one plattform.

Indeed, which is why it'll get slaughtered, especially when having to go up against something like Killzone 3, in a region like EMEAA.

in fact KZ3 is the less dangerous oponnent they could face... Going head to head with Halo , Cod or Gears would be going to death... agains KZ3 will be easy and this game is gonna sell more than KZ3 alone on 360.

That release date was "revealed" months ago.

I had it jotted down already since September or something.
