Also, we should make a separation between those who race with any kind of wheel and those who can race with a Pad.

I know that there are some pretty god pad users, but most of the times, a decent player with a wheel can pull amazing times. To make a comparison, I can consistently pull 5 less second laps in suzuka in my Enzo when in on my DFGT than when I'm on the DS3.

It's hard to get used to at first, especially finding that sweet spot between good acceleration and wheel turning, especially if you've never used any kind of wheel before, but once you do, it makes tons of difference. You can control your turns better, your exit speeds better and since it's much easier to control an all assists off car, you'll do better times.

I found my DFGT for 100€ and since then I just went back to the DS3 to do comparison times, or to move around in photo mode, other than that, I use the wheel for everything. Thanks to it, I've managed to get all golds in the licenses up to S (haven't done it yet) and every challenge, including the hard ones like the Elise 111R on the Top Gear Track or the Alfa Romeo on Eiger for the Grand Tour event.

I've got my hands full with school right now, but would definitely be interested in something like this in the coming weeks.

As a sederequest, can someone using a wheel please tell me how set that up for comfortable gameplay? I tried clamping it to the table and putting the pedals as far away as possible, but it still sucks... Is there anywhere I could buy a chair that's designed for this kind of thing?

There are proper racing chairs and setups that can be bought, as for sites I don't know many, the only set-ups I've seen are in local stores.

My wheel was clamped onto a desktop table which leaves the wheel at my chest height when I'm sat down, which is very comfortable.

I'm in. Have my dfgt but suspect I will get trashed. I haven't golded all my licenses but strangely found S to be the easiest to gold.

My wheel is clamped to a bookshelf, but it does the job :)

How easy is the S license? I've seen quite a number of posts in GTPLANET saying is the easiest overall, but I haven't tried it yet. May give it a whirl after I finish the GT World Championship.
