The DS and PSP. Then spend the rest on games.
Personally I don't think I'd ever get an iPhone. iPhone contracts are bloody fucking expensive. I don't talk or text on my prepaid cellphone much and I only pay about $25 every 4 months for my prepaid service plan and that's all I need (Though I would like G-network internet access. But my current provider doesn't officially support the iPhone, Blackberry, Droid phones or any decent clones so I'm not gonna f'n bother). The iPhone would mainly interest me for G-network internet access on the go and iOS apps. But since I'm not a big talker and don't text much, the contract plans are not worth it for me. Here in Canada, even the cheapest talk text data plan combo for the iPhone with Rogers is fucking expensive.
As for the iPod Touch, the lack of G-network access is a dealbreaker for me. Wi-Fi is way too limiting on the go. They have some great iOS games out but that's pretty much all I would use the iPod Touch for. That and some wi-fi browsing at home and near places with unsecured Wi-Fi. That's it.
For portable audio, I already have a tiny little Sansa Clip that gets the job done. And the Sansa Clip is more suited to listening to music while working out and such as well.
And I don't really care about watching video on the go on a small screen. It's a vastly inferior experience to watching on a bigger screen.
And I don't care about the iPod Touch/iPhone's shitty little camera. When I need to take a photo, I bring my small 12.1MP digital camera with me. The photo quality on the Touch isn't that great. It's better on the iPhone but your best bet is to get a dedicated digital camera if you want to take photos.
The bottom line is this: Even though I only really use my Nintendo DS and PSP for gaming, they do the gaming thing very well. Way better than the iOS does. I'm pissed off that Game Dev Story is an iOS exclusive and the iOS has some other great games but the DS and PSP exclusive library is even better. The only other thing (aside from gaming. lol) that I'd really use the iPhone for is G-network internet surfing on the go. But seeing as how the iPhone phone contracts are bloody expensive for my needs, I don't want one. And seeing as how the iTouch doesn't have G-network access, it's a deal breaker. If the iPhone had a cheap prepaid plan here in Canada tailored to my needs (light on talk and text but with a data plan) or the iPod Touch 5 had G-network access too and G-network access data plans were affordable, I'd reconsider.
