Forums - Gaming - All Consoles - What would you like to see?

I'm not talking about sales, or any nasty bias comments, just plainly what direction gamewise/hardware wise would you like to see all the system go in?

Here is mine:

Wii

More games that really do what the system excels at, more fps titles, more games like Zak and wiki, and i'd love for it to open the door again for adventure gaming, that would be awesome.

360

Even though this sounds odd, I'd love to see a Wii-mote rip-off for the 360, honestly just because I really really want to play halo with the Wii-mote. Next year too, I'd like to see more genres expanded, and more niche genre titles. Also I love Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed and I know they're supposed to be triliogys so I'd like to see more of that, their big budgets are evident in the depth of the world and graphics and the immersion factor is awesome I hope to see that in Too Human and more titles.

Ps3

A cheaper system, I know it's dropped in price, but it's still not worth buying for me since I already own the other 2. I love my ps2 because of the casual games, my family loves singstar, so it would be nice to buy it down the road for that, so that along with larger library of casual and big exclusives will get me excited.

DS

My favorite DS games are a mix of niche genres and fun little games that make great use of the touchscreen. so I hope Nintendo keeps throwing out some great new ideas, and I'll be happy. Also more adventure games!!! Phoenix Wright and Hotel Dusk we're great!

PSP

I'd like them to pioneer it's own identity more, with franchises that are more compatible with a portable system, I like lighter more fun games for a handheld so I hope this type of experience becomes more popular going into the future. Honestly my biggest problem is the lack of a second analog stick for camera control, so I'd also like to see creative was around this, or just titles that are engineered differently.

- Silver members should be able to play online for free
- Gold members should get benefits such as early access to demos, or discounts in store... or anything would be nice

I'm currently a gold member what's the difference between gold and silver? Plus the idea of getting demos early would be cool. Although demos being more of a free ad for the game type of thing I don't see publishers liking that idea, or MS using their free content to entice people to buy MS's service. But It would be cool, and honestly I think discounts on stuff would make the most sense, stores sell discount memberships so why wouldn't they do the same, plus is would encourage more people to buy more to get their memberships monies worth.

Wii Strategy RPGs, Imports of "hardcore" Japanese franchises that are light on the graphics like Fire Pro Wrestling and MLB Power Pros, plenty of games that don't use the motion controls and support alternate controls. I like motion control games, but a lot of the ones without them are fun as well, just because they are comfortable. FPS. PS3 Strategy RPGs, expansive RPGs that are lesser on graphics but longer on gameplay making the extra blue-ray space worth it, adventure games, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, "Arena" type action games that are confined into a few areas and tournament style batles, allowing all sorts of focus and detail into the few areas to max out the graphical abilties within a realistic time frame. A Godzilla game that doesn't suck like all the rest. 360 Strategy RPGS, 2K Sports games, first person shooter that isn't afraid to steal everything positive about all the other FPS out there to make a real definitive shooter... Bots are a must. Maybe a return to glory of Perfect Dark. More games like Mass Effect... in other words RPGs with real time cutscenes. The engines are good enough that you don't need FMV's that barely increase the graphical output. Enough already. Classic turn based RPGs. PSP Strategy RPGS DS A way to plug it into my TV for games that don't make use of the DS' special controls. And then Strategy RPGs. If this can't be done... No strategy RPGs.

Wii:

Super. Smash. Bros. In. Europe. Now.

360:

I'd like to see a futuristic F-Zero-esque game that uses the full graphical power of the 360 to be at insane speeds. Then I would consider buying one, because some of the new FPS games for it look very nice and I'd like to try them if I had one more reason to buy a 360.

PS3:

Serious price drops, yesterday. It will cut their losses in the long run, and ensure more competition = better for consumers, even if I personally am not interested in it. Microsoft needs a serious threat.

PSP:

Any good game at all that isn't a PS2 port or spinoff that shows its advantages over the DS. Again, competition is necessary so Nintendo handheld systems don't become $600 overnight.

DS:

Smash Bros. DS plus Wifi.

And Halo DS.
