PSP was never dead, slowed down? yes dead? never...it's a successful handheld with amazing games every year

OT: MH3P if capcom shipped enough this has a good chance of having the best FW in Jp, but from the news of many sold out retailers, I think they dropped the ball on it a bit..it's all good tho, who cares about records (other than us lol) it will keep selling for years like the last one

@alfredofryolan  Japan is PSP's best region and IMO it doesnt really matter if its one game as long as its supporting the system its all good.  Pokemon was like the only game anyone played for GB around that time. What else was there to play on GB???? (not counting the Color titles)

Honestly I don't think that buying 1 console for just 1 game is a good sign of "appreciate" it happened with the Gameboy during he early days of Pokemon and now with the PSP with monster hunter.

I mean, the PSP regularly outsells the DS there.  IT has a crap ton of good games, presently and to be released later.

Hmm, I think I would have phrased it more like:

It's on the other 2 home consoles. I really don't understand why it's not on PS3. Is it because Capcom don't want to fragment the Sony market they only put is on one Sony platform, but through the patheticly performing (in Japan) Xbox360 a bone?

Still release PSP2 and then give us a FW update to PS3 to make PSP games playable and all will be forgiven (looking at Sega and Valkyria Chronicles now). If they do that then there are about 5 PSP games that would be insta-buys for me.

Edit: Oh yeah, impressive lines.

I told some lady consider not getting her son a PSP today at EB games whilst I was there to pick up the Sly Collection because the PSP2 / 3DS are both coming next year. Funnily enough she agreed. Im so bad, so I counteracted this launch by one handheld sale.

yknow, instead of discouraging someone to buy something, you should encourage them. when the new psp does come out, they'll buy it anyway. more revenue for the game makers to make better ones.

Microsoft clearly provided some moolah, and even then, it hardly pushed a thing (since MMO's dominate on PC).

Like I said, I would welcome a PS3 Monster Hunter, but it's not a dumb decision to put it on the strongest platform.
