Enslaved is a great game should have sold better.

i'm not sure if it was released this year or not but...

demon's souls....i bought it someone relucantly 'cause i didn't have anything i was excited to play and lots of people had been talking it up.  turned out the be the best game i've played this year.  it is a rare game that gets me to play it twice because i tend to want to get the next game but i played through demon's souls four times so far.

Red Dead Redemption, Castlevania Lord of Shadows and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.

Definitely Enslaved. I didn't really expect much out of it, but when I saw it for $25, I couldn't resist. I was hopeful, because I love Heavenly Sword, but I didn't think that it would turn out that well, despite some positive feedback from others who played the game. Turns out that I love the game and it's a blast. I did not expect it to be nearly as enjoyable as it turned out to be.
