Forums - Sony - Gran Turismo 5 - Since When do Graphics Make the Game?

We knew for a long time there would be standard and premium cars. It's the review hammering the fact there is a big difference between the two is the point when premium cars are the best looking cars I've seen in any sim including on PC. So while GT5 is a graphic powerhouse whne it comes to sims yet PS3 hardware is not (x360 as well) and really starting to show some age. I only wish GT5 was on PC as my PC could run the game better in triple screen than PS3 could on a single screen.

Ha,ha..  so true ...I dont want to instigate but most of them were Ps3 only owners, they were like, Forza would look like shit when the real GT5 comes out...  huh? what happend, graphics dont really matter now?

(Graphics dont really matter) this phrase didn't exist in Sony's dictionary, now it does?

Like someone said above, Lets stop believing what we see first in a game trailer instead lets just wait when the game comes out.


hahaha.. .fortunately GT5 does make forza look pretty terrible in comparison.... I have both games and a 1080P high class tv to compare on....

I've just tried parking my car in the middle of the line in GT5 and not one car touch me. Now since no AI is perfect I'm sure you can find spots where the AI will hit you if you park a car in the middle of the track.

 I'm at level 16 so maybe the AI get better as you level.  So if you trying to claim Forza 3 AI tries to avoid hitting you and GT5 don't I know by my own experiment that GT5 does in fact know I'm parked in the middle of the track.

 Even IRL it's not smart to park your car in the middle of the highway and expect not to get hit.

 P.S I decided to park it just after a sharp  corner directly in ideal path , the first AI hit me while the rest went around me.

It's funny reading this thread. The total OPPOSITE of what GT5 fans were touting before the game was released and critics lashed out at it.

Graphics are very important, if they weren't then I'd be able to play that stupid Conan game or that ugly mess that is Legendary.

The guy's above me going on about PS3 people and graphics and stuff, your right to call them out, but I'm pretty sure I've seen of a few of you in the Alan Wake threads saying the exact same thing earlier in the year.



Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
