Forums - General - Are you following The Ashes?, who are you rooting for?

Rooting for England, bit concerned about the middle order collapse, but it happens in test cricket, siddle played a blinder and he genuinely seems like a nice bloke so in a way pleased for him, i'll wait and see how our bowlers do against their batsman to have an idea how this series is going to pan out.

Still too close to call atm, if England don't win I just hope it's close, Australia are notorious for gaining momentum and not letting go, but this England team is a good one and long gone are the days of Australia's aura of invicibility, so it should be a close and entertaining series, may the best team win. IE England :)

5 test cricket series between england and australia

serious business -_-

ah... (goes back to doing something interesting)

First test, match drawn. Looking forward for the 3rd of December ^_^

England will win the series 3-0 or 2-0. England are a better cricket team than Australia. England have better batsmen, have better fields-men and better bowlers. Australia can not bowl, can not field and can not bat. England team is younger and hungrier than the aging Dad's Army Australian cricket team.

England's second innings of 1 declared for 517. Proves Australia bowlers have nothing. Strauss 110 only man out missed time a 4 ball from a part time out of form batsmen-bowler.

Great innings by Cook 235 not out and Trott 135 not out. England have in form batsmen and in form bowlers. Aussie team they are mainly out of form, injured, no good or too old. (combination of these four factors).

Australia bowling England out for 260 in less than one day was a fluke. Siddle's hat trick and 6 wicket haul was a fluke. He will never do that again. Siddle is another B-Grade English county bowler who got lucky. Every dog has its day. Most English fans had never heard of Siddle before he fluked the hat trick.

Michael Clarke still hurting over his split with white trash Lara who? Mitchell Johnson's 2009 Ashes nightmare is being relived 18 month later. Johnson is a B-Grade English county cricket bowler. Ponting is too old and he will lose a third Ashes series and he will be forced to retire with his head between his knees. Marcus North should change his name to Marcus South: out of form batsman who has no place in the Aussie team. South will soon be dropped by Aussie selectors.

How many wide and no ball does the sling shot action of Mitchell Johnson can bowl in an innings? He never looks like getting the bowl on a good line and length. Johnson bowling is B-Grade English country bowling. Johnson finished the First Test with brilliant figures of no wick for 170 runs. His bowling is like shooting fish in the barrel. You or me could easily score runs against Australia's "best" bowler.

We are the Army, The Barmy, Barmy Army.

Australia has a lot of dud players in its team. North, Johnson, Hilenhause and Clark are all mediocre players who have done nothing in the last 12 months. There are plenty of young guns waiting to be selected to represent Australia. Australian cricket panel is the problem, they never pick the right Australian cricket team. This may well be Ponting's last series as a captain, he will retire as a loser. Third Ashes series loss for Ponting is inevitable. The worst player in the Australian cricket team is without doubt Mitchell Johnson. Australia's leading bowler and he bowls just like a B-Grade English county bowler. His batting is better than his bowling. Michael Clark is the next in line to be Australia's cricket captain and he is not a leader and an ordinary cricketer.

Mitchell Johnson is a cry baby and a sook. People lost their lives in Wars to have pansies like him representing the Australian Cricket team. Johnson is a disgrace and not a real man. Bradman's era: men played for their countries and they fought and died in two World Wars. They never complained, did not cry or tried to look like a hybrid male/female. Michelle Johnson is what your name should be, the blokes at the pub are laughing at you.

Michael Clark is another pansy boy just like most of the Aussie cricketers. Cricketers are  too concerned about their look/image and their  bad cricket performances are over looked by corrupt Aussie cricket selctors. Australia is a nation found off the back of War heroes, pioneers and convicts. Australia has become too soft and the Aussie cricket team reflect a soft Australia. Clark may well become Australia's next cricket captain and that would  mean Australia will fall even further in Test cricket rankings.

India/Sri Lanka/England and South Africa are above Australia in Test cricket rankings. Pakistan and New Zealand and West Indies can leap frog Australia.

Mitchell Johnson needs to earn his place in the National cricket team. Johnson does not inherit a place in the Aussie cricket team, he is not a Royal family member. Aussie cricket team is a proud side and it deserves the best players in the nation to represent them. Free loaders like Johnson, North and a few other Aussie cricketers are a waste of space.

I follow the English cricket team. I just report the news of the day. Fair and balanced  just like Fox News.
